OX-341 interface converter, compatible with RS-232C and RS-485 standards, can convert single ended RS-232 signals into balanced differential RS-485 signals. It is equipped with a fast transient voltage suppression protector, which is designed to protect the RS-485 interface. It uses the advanced TVS (Transient Voltage Suppressor) transient voltage suppressor. Under normal circumstances, the TVS tube is in a high impedance state. When the two ends of the TVS tube are subjected to instantaneous high-energy impact, it can quickly reduce the impedance at both ends, absorb a large current, and clamp the voltage at both ends to a predetermined value, protecting the subsequent circuit components from damage caused by transient high-voltage impact. This protector can effectively suppress lightning strikes, providing a surge protection power of 600W per line, as well as surge voltages and transient overvoltages generated on the line due to various reasons. The extremely small inter electrode capacitance ensures high-speed transmission of the RS-485 interface. The RS-232 interface is connected to a compatible RS-232C standard interface through a DB9 female connector, while the RS-485 interface is connected through a DB9 male connector. The converter has zero delay automatic transmission and reception conversion inside, and a unique I/O circuit automatically controls the direction of data flow without any handshake signals (such as RTS, DTR, etc.). It does not require jumper settings to achieve half duplex (RS-485) mode conversion and is plug and play. Ensure compatibility with all existing communication software and interface hardware, without the need for any software modifications to the previous RS-232 based operating mode.
The OX-341 interface converter can provide reliable connections for point-to-point and point to multipoint communication. Each converter can connect 32 RS-485 interface devices, with a data communication rate of 300-115.2Kbps. It is equipped with power and data flow indicators to indicate fault conditions and supports RS-232 to RS-485 conversion.
