OX-SH277 is a multifunctional fiber optic MODEM that supports asynchronous RS-232, RS-485, and RS-422 communication interfaces. It is the best choice for connecting remote terminal units (RTUs) to hosts (HOSTs) or distributed data acquisition system (SCADA) controllers. Supports multiple asynchronous communication protocols such as RS-232, RS-485, and RS-422, and can simultaneously mix and use two RS-232, RS-485, or RS-422 interfaces. Supports 2-wire (half duplex) RS-485 and 4-wire (full duplex) RS-422 working modes.
The RS-485 mode of OX-SH277 supports data (TXD or SD) transmission control, thereby improving the ability to adapt to various software and simplifying control methods. The fiber optic MODEM supports multiple fiber optic connection methods between asynchronous serial ports, and it supports full duplex or half duplex communication between devices with two asynchronous serial ports through fiber optic communication. The communication distance can reach up to 4 kilometers for multimode and 20 kilometers for single-mode. The maximum transmission rate of RS-232 signal is 115.2Kbps, and the maximum transmission rate of RS-485/RS-422 signal is 460Kbps. Different electrical standard interfaces can be mixed and RS-232 devices can be used to connect RS-485/RS-422 devices, replacing RS-232 to RS-485/422 interface converters or optoelectronic isolators, and providing excellent EMI/RS-422 interface transmission rate.
